The Story of I Am Number Four

The story follows John Smith, a fifteen-year-old humanoid alien from the planet Lorien, and Henri, his Mentor Cêpan, as they flee the Mogadorians, a hostile extraterrestrial race responsible for Lorien’s devastation. The Mogadorians are on the lookout for John and eight other Loric who live on Earth. These nine children are Garde, Loric people with unique talents known as Legacies.

The bureaucratic Cêpans, who are also Loric, do not acquire Legacies and frequently serve as protective mentors to young Garde, known as ‘Keepers.’ The Nine Garde Children are guarded by a magical enchantment provided by their Elder Loridas, which permits them to be slain only in numerical order. The first three have been slain, and Number Four is John Smith…

Is there an adaptation of the Lorien Legacies book series?

The 2010 novel I Am Number Four has been adapted into a film in 2011, starring Alex Pttyfer as Four, Teresa Palmer as Six, and Timothy Olyphant as Henri.

However, the movie received negative reviews and didn’t succeed as well as expected from the studios. Any plans for a sequel have been shelved.
